Where does the sky work for all of you?
Astrocartography redraws each person’s birth chart across the map of the world. Shared Places overlays your family’s maps, two to six people, and shortlists cities your family may find supportive according to astrocartography, with the reason for every pick and an honest confidence rating when a birth time is uncertain.

Birth details are sent to AsterNym’s server once, to compute the maps, and discarded when the response is returned. They are not stored, logged or attached to an account.

How this is calculated
For each person we compute the apparent positions of the ten chart bodies at their birth moment with an astronomical ephemeris, convert their birth time through the historical time-zone database, and draw the four traditional angular lines, MC, IC, Ascendant and Descendant, for every body. Cities are scored by their calculated distance to each line, each person is scored separately, and the family result combines everyone with the weakest member weighted heavily, no averaged birth details, no combined chart, ever.
Because Earth turns ~15° of longitude per hour, an uncertain birth time moves these lines a long way. For approximate times we calculate many possible maps and report how often a city stayed supportive across all of them, and an unknown time gets no precise ranking at all, rather than a silently assumed noon.
Line influence uses an 800 km radius, an AsterNym product convention, not a scientifically established boundary. Distances shown are calculated.

- What is Shared Places on AsterNym?
- A free planner that overlays astrocartography maps for two to six family members and shortlists cities the tradition reads as supportive for everyone, with the reason for each pick per person. Each person's lines are computed separately from their own birth data; there is no averaged chart.
- Can astrocartography really tell my family where to live?
- No. Astrocartography has no verified predictive validity, and a real move depends on visas, work, schools, cost and family ties, none of which a chart line addresses. The planner is a structured way to explore the tradition together, not relocation advice.
- What if one of us doesn't know their birth time?

Birth details are never averaged and no combined chart is drawn.
Shared Places is an astrocartography reading: a traditional interpretation of where planetary angles from several birth charts overlap. It does not establish that a city will cause an outcome or that moving there is advisable. Birth-time uncertainty can materially change the map. Consider family support, safety, schooling, healthcare, immigration rights and finances before making a relocation decision.
