The answer
ZODIA calculates your birth chart and sends a reading to WhatsApp each morning, with a week-ahead note on Sundays, for $14.99 a month or $125.88 a year after a seven-day trial. AsterNym computes eight systems from the same birth data on a free website and can email you a daily reading. Both use whole-sign houses and both read your chart instead of your Sun sign. You're choosing between a paid message that finds you and a free page you visit. AsterNym is ours, so weigh that.
The delivery is the product
ZODIA's pitch, on its own site, is that there's no app to install: your reading arrives in WhatsApp at 8am local time, and the Sunday outlook at 5pm. Cancelling is one message.
That's a real product decision and not a small one. The hardest part of any daily practice is remembering, and a message in the thread you already check all day solves it in a way a website cannot.
We send a morning email instead, which is free but easier to leave unread. If your relationship with email is the usual one, ZODIA's channel will beat ours.
Same houses, different scope
ZODIA states that it calculates your exact chart and the day's transits with whole-sign houses, which is what we use too. So the underlying Western reading rests on the same two conventions, and neither of us is doing Sun-sign horoscopes.
The scope differs. ZODIA is a daily Western reading, delivered. AsterNym computes your Western chart, BaZi, Zi Wei Dou Shu, Jyotish placements, numerology, tarot birth card, Human Design bodygraph and Chinese zodiac animal, then shows what each did to get there. Neither approach is more correct; they're answers to different questions.

Their price, checked 7 September 2026, is $14.99 monthly or $125.88 annually, with everything included and no per-question fees. Against that, our reading and daily email cost nothing.
Money isn't the whole comparison though. Paying for something is a commitment device: a subscription you notice is one you use. Plenty of people have got more out of a paid habit than a free tool they forgot about, and we're not going to pretend that free wins on every axis.
