Hexagram 45 line 6: Gathering Together, yin in the sixth place

Lamenting and sighing, floods of tears. No blame.
Someone who wanted to join and was misunderstood, and whose grief at being outside is genuine. The line clears them of blame and suggests that open sorrow, honestly shown, is what finally opens the door.

What changes when line 6 moves
Line 6 of Hexagram 45 is yin, a broken line. When it is cast as old yin (a 6) it flips, and the hexagram becomes Hexagram 12, Standstill: Heaven and earth apart: the wrong people are in charge, and the right response is dignified withdrawal.
