Falling into the pit. Three uninvited guests arrive; honour them and it ends well.
The waiting is over and the outcome is not what you planned. Unexpected people or events enter. The line's counsel is to receive them with respect rather than suspicion: what looks like an intrusion turns out to be help.

What changes when line 6 moves
Line 6 of Hexagram 5 is yin, a broken line. When it is cast as old yin (a 6) it flips, and the hexagram becomes Hexagram 9, Small Taming: Small restraint on large power: dense clouds, no rain yet, and only gentle influence available.

Heaven below, wind above: a great force held back by something gentle.
