Zodiac signs ranked by group project reliability

A ranking for fun, and the real reason group projects fail, learned running yoga retreats.

Ranked by modality rather than sign character: cardinal signs start and may not finish, fixed signs finish what they start and resist changing it, and mutable signs adapt but may drift. On that basis fixed earth ranks highest and mutable fire lowest. It's for fun. The research on why group projects fail points at structure, not personalities.

The pattern is modality, not sign

I've run enough retreats with volunteer teams to know who does the slides, and it has never been predictable from a birthday. The ranking is really earth signs, then fixed signs, then everyone else, because the modality and element structure defines those categories by follow-through. It tells you about the scheme, not about people.

Modality is the only part of this I'd defend, and even that won't save your group project, as three of my retreat teams could tell you.

Why group projects fail

Social loafing: effort falls as group size rises. Unclear ownership: tasks given to a group rather than a named person fail. No interim deadlines: work compresses to the end. The fix is naming who does what and when.

The placement that would fit better

The 6th house covers work, Saturn discipline, Mercury how someone communicates. Yours are on your natal chart, and they won't tell you who's doing the slides.
