Dan Simmons (born April 4, 1948, Peoria, United States; died 2026), was an American novelist. Simmons is best remembered for Hyperion and Song of Kali. Simmons's honours include Bram Stoker Award for Novel, Hugo Award for Best Novel and Theodore Sturgeon Award.
