Paul Cohen (born April 2, 1934, Long Branch, United States; died 2007), was an American mathematician. Cohen is best remembered for Cohen algebra, Cohen–Hewitt factorization theorem and forcing. Cohen's honours include Fields medal, Bôcher Memorial Prize and National Medal of Science.
