What sets Roger apart

Siti Nurhaliza (1979) and Mary J. Blige (1971) share the birthday in another year, so the sun sits where it sits here.

What the chart says

Roger, according to the stars

Core essence

Roger is playing a longer game than everyone else at the table. The core of Roger is quiet ambition and a dry, private sense of humour that only their people get to see. They are the one who actually does the thing, and then does not mention it. Underneath the composure is someone who wants very badly to be proud of what they built.

The vibe

Underneath, Roger is porous: other people's moods get in, and so does beauty, and so does the sad song. The Moon in Pisces feels everything and forgives most of it. What Roger needs to feel safe is gentleness and someone who does not make them explain the tears. They will love you back with their whole imagination.

How Roger wants to be loved

Roger wants to be loved as a friend first, and then as everything. Venus in Aquarius needs freedom, conversation and a partner who finds their strangeness delightful. Rules and jealousy make them cold; acceptance makes them devoted. Let Roger be fully themselves and they will never want to be anywhere else.

How Roger creates

How Roger makes things happen: they make things grow. A Yin Earth day master is the garden soil, generous, nourishing, the reason other people's ideas take root. Roger creates by caring for the thing until it works, and they are often the quiet reason a whole group is thriving. The work is keeping some of that richness for themselves.

Instinct

Instinct: Roger is warm and generous, a Pig year, and their gut reaction is to trust. Big-hearted, fun, sincere, a lover of good things, and deserving of people who are as honest as they are. The Water year softens it: intuitive, adaptable, feeling their way through people.

Purpose

Purpose: Life Path 1 is the pioneer. Roger is here to go first, to start the thing, to trust their own read when nobody else has a map. Independence is the gift and the lesson: the best version of Roger leads without needing to do it alone.

Triggers

Triggers: betrayal, and being handled. Mars in Scorpio means Roger runs hot underneath and cold on top; the anger is quiet, deep and long-remembered. They do not lose their temper, they decide. Point that focus at a goal and nothing survives in its way.

The sky over Dijon that night

Computed for 47.32°N, 9 p.m. local sky.

Overhead at Dijon at 9 p.m. that evening: Capella of Auriga, within 5.4° of the exact zenith.

Of the 106 catalog stars above the horizon, Sirius was the brightest.

Dijon sits at 47.3°N, high enough that Capella and Deneb never set there — they circle the pole all night, every night of the year.

Nothing below −42.7° declination clears the horizon at this latitude, so Canopus, Rigil Kentaurus, Achernar, Hadar, Acrux, Mimosa and Toliman were never visible from Dijon on any night.

The Moon, 30% lit at waxing crescent, was still up; the Sun sat 48° below the horizon.

Where this comes from, and how it is worked out

Roger’s birth date and birthplace come from Wikidata Q242169 (CC0), as do the occupations, works and awards above. With no documented birth time this chart is rated X on the Rodden scale, the astrological convention for how well evidenced a birth time is. The banner above lists what that leaves out. Entries are matched to Wikidata by entity id rather than by name, kept at day precision, and dropped where sources disagree on the date.

Tropical zodiac, whole-sign houses, modern rulers. Aspects on the western_v1 orb policy; minor ones at 1.5° to 2.5°, skipped where a major already holds. Minor bodies from JPL Horizons heliocentric vectors, Lilith as mean apogee. Dominance is an AsterNym score — rulerships, dispositors, aspect count — so other methods can name a different leader.
