Lucky Instagram handle calculator
Handles are chosen once and lived with for years. Paste the ones still available and they come back ranked: letters read in Chaldean, digits read in Lo Shu, both scored against your chart.
A number is only lucky relative to someone
Any site can add your digits up. Scoring the result against your own Day Master, Life Path and Kua number needs your birth moment.
The handle and the name are two different fields
Instagram gives you a username and a display name and they do quite different jobs. The username is your address: lowercase, capped at 30 characters, letters and digits with full stops and underscores, and it is the thing in your profile URL. The display name is a label, holds spaces and emoji, and you can change it whenever you like.
Only the first one is a decision. Changing a username releases the old one straight away, so somebody else can take it, and every link anyone has saved to your profile stops working. Score the address carefully and treat the display name as something you can redo on a whim.
| Length | Up to 30 characters |
|---|---|
| Allowed | Letters, digits, full stops, underscores |
| Case | Stored lowercase, so capitals make no new handle |
| Changing it | Frees the old handle immediately and breaks saved links |
Numbers in a handle are not neutral
Appending digits is what you do when the plain version is taken, and the tradition has an opinion about which digits. 88 reduces to 7 and reads as insight; 8 alone reads as wealth; 4 discounts in every Chinese-speaking market. Since you are choosing the digits anyway, choosing them deliberately costs nothing.
What predicts a good handle
Spellable after hearing it once, no ambiguity between underscore and dot, no digits that date you, and the same string available on the other platforms you will eventually want. The numerology is a tiebreaker between handles that already pass those.
