Any site can add your digits up. Scoring the result against your own Day Master, Life Path and Kua number needs your birth moment.
Plates people pay for
Hong Kong auctions its vehicle registration marks and puts the proceeds to public funds, and the bidding on a short number or a run of eights reaches figures that would buy several cars. The UK sells personalised registrations through the DVLA on the same principle with different taste: British buyers pay for names and words, Hong Kong buyers pay for digits.
Both markets price the same thing, which is what other people think a number means. A plate is also the most public identifier in this set. It is read by strangers, quoted in reports, and in Thailand it is copied off crashed vehicles and played in the lottery.

Why 8 costs money
In 2006 a Hangzhou plate reading A88888 was reported sold at auction for a sum in the hundreds of thousands of dollars, and Hong Kong has auctioned single-digit plates for millions. This is not a fringe belief. It is a functioning market. 八 sounds like 發, to prosper; 四 sounds like 死, death, and plates containing it discount.
