What the chart says

David, according to the stars

Core essence

David feels everything, and it is the best and hardest thing about them. The core of David is imagination with a soft heart behind it: the daydream, the creative pull, the instinct that knows how someone is doing before they do. They absorb the mood of a room and give back something kinder. Their softness is not weakness, it is the whole point.

How David wants to be loved

David wants to be loved tenderly. Venus in Pisces is the romantic of the zodiac: soft, giving, a little dreamy, and easily bruised. They love without keeping score and need a partner who will not take advantage of that. Be gentle with David, be honest, and they will make the ordinary feel enchanted.

How David creates

How David makes things happen: they are the ground everyone else stands on. A Yang Earth day master is the mountain, reliable, slow to move, immovable once it has. David creates by holding: the plan, the people, the standard. They are trusted before they have said a word, and the work is remembering that mountains are allowed to want things too.

Instinct

Instinct: David is bold, a Tiger year, and their gut reaction is to leap. Brave, generous, a bit dramatic, magnetic to be around, and never boring for a second. The Earth year grounds it: practical, patient, someone people lean on.

Purpose

Purpose: Life Path 4 is the builder. David is here to make things that last, to put structure under other people's dreams, to be trusted with the real work. Loyal, practical, honest, and learning that the plan can bend without breaking.

Triggers

Triggers: being told to wait. Mars in Aries means David gets angry fast, says it, and is over it before you have finished being hurt. The temper is honest and short. Give them a clear path and something to fight for, and all that heat turns into drive.

The sky over Manhattan that night

Computed for 40.73°N, 9 p.m. local sky.

Castor stood nearest the zenith over Manhattan at 9 p.m. that evening, 79.0° above the horizon in Gemini.

Sirius was the brightest thing up that night, one of 106 catalog stars above the horizon.

Manhattan sits at 40.7°N, low enough that no headline star is circumpolar: everything bright rises and sets there.

Canopus, Rigil Kentaurus, Achernar, Hadar, Acrux, Mimosa and Toliman cannot be seen from Manhattan at all: they sit past the −49.3° declination limit this latitude imposes.

The Moon was at first quarter, 36% lit, and above the horizon, with the Sun 35° down.

Born the same day as David

Albert Fert was born on March 7, 1938 too, the same date and the same year. With no birth time for any of them the chart is identical, not similar: the same Sun, the same pillars, the same Life Path. The sky over the birthplace is not shared: from Manhattan, at 40.7°N, nothing below −49.3° declination ever rises, which keeps Canopus, Rigil Kentaurus, Achernar, Hadar, Acrux, Mimosa and Toliman permanently out of sight. Same sky, different lives.

Where this comes from, and how it is worked out

David’s birth date and birthplace come from Wikidata Q234949 (CC0), as do the occupations, works and awards above. With no documented birth time this chart is rated X on the Rodden scale, the astrological convention for how well evidenced a birth time is. The banner above lists what that leaves out. Entries are matched to Wikidata by entity id rather than by name, kept at day precision, and dropped where sources disagree on the date.

Tropical zodiac, whole-sign houses, modern rulers. Aspects on the western_v1 orb policy; minor ones at 1.5° to 2.5°, skipped where a major already holds. Minor bodies from JPL Horizons heliocentric vectors, Lilith as mean apogee. Dominance is an AsterNym score — rulerships, dispositors, aspect count — so other methods can name a different leader.
