Lucky French Loto numbers
Four lines of five numbers from 49 plus a Numéro Chance from 10, which you do choose, and which comes from a separate pool.
Numbers built from your chart, not a shuffle
Any site can pick random numbers. Weighting the pool by your own Day Master, Life Path and Lo Shu grid needs your birth moment.
What Loto is
| Game | Numbers drawn | Second pool | Jackpot odds |
|---|---|---|---|
| Loto | 5 of 1–49 | 1 of 1–10 (Numéro Chance) | 1 in 19,068,840 |
Five from 49 plus a Numéro Chance from 10, which you do choose. Drawn from a separate pool, so it can repeat a number you already have. There are 1,906,884 ways to fill the 5 main numbers, and each must also land the right Numéro Chance, one of 10 possibilities, from a separate pool, which multiplies out to the 1 in 19,068,840.

Exactly that match, on one line. Prizes come from the operator's table and from how many people share the tier.

Friday the thirteenth, on purpose
France's Loto is five from 49 with a Numéro Chance from 10, run by FDJ. The distinctive habit here is institutional rather than private: the operator puts on enlarged special draws on Friday the thirteenth, taking a date that most of Europe treats as unlucky and selling it as the opposite.
Ticket sales rise sharply on those days. More players on the same draw does not change any line's odds, and it does raise the chance that a winning line is shared, which is the one direction superstition can reliably move your money.
The Numéro Chance is drawn from ten, the smallest second pool of any game on this site. That makes its cost exact: matching the five main numbers and missing the chance number is ten times more likely than taking both.
The only edge on this page
None of this makes a draw more likely to go your way. The balls have no memory and no preference. It bears on one thing only: how many other people picked what you picked, and therefore how far a shared prize has to stretch.
18 of the 49 numbers on a Loto form are above 31, which puts them outside every birthday, anniversary and door number in play. Hand-picked lines lean on that smaller half, because birthdays, anniversaries and house numbers all stop at 31. Lines built entirely from calendar numbers make up 8.9 per cent of the possible lines, and a far larger share of the tickets people fill in by hand. Going above 31 buys you no extra chance at all. It buys you fewer people to share with. The Numéro Chance pool stops at 10, so that one sits inside calendar range whatever you do with the main numbers.
Every number here falls out of the format above. The generator works from your chart instead, and neither method can tell you what will be drawn.
