Lotería de Navidad
Lucky Lotería de Navidad number
Four five-digit números from your chart, for the 22 December draw. You do not fill in a slip: you go and look for the number, so take these to the administración.
Numbers built from your chart, not a shuffle
Any site can pick random numbers. Weighting the pool by your own Day Master, Life Path and Lo Shu grid needs your birth moment.
What Lotería de Navidad is
| Game | Numbers drawn | Jackpot odds |
|---|---|---|
| Lotería de Navidad | Pre-printed 5-digit ticket | 1 in 100,000 |
You do not pick numbers. Every ticket carries a five-digit número from 00000 to 99999, and you go and find one you want, so people queue at a particular administración rather than fill in a slip. Drawn on 22 December. A 5-digit ticket is one of exactly 100,000 possible numbers, so a given ticket takes the top prize at 1 in 100,000, no combinatorics involved, just the count of 5-digit numbers.
Another draw, same chart

A lottery designed to be shared
El Gordo is drawn on 22 December and it is built almost backwards from every other lottery here. A full ticket costs more than most people spend, so it is split into décimos, tenths, and those get split again informally around offices, bars, football clubs and whole villages. The same number sells in one town, so when it comes up the town wins together and the television crews go there.
The numbers are sung, not announced. Children from the San Ildefonso school chant the number and the prize in a two-part sing-song that runs for hours, and the broadcast is a fixture of Spanish Christmas in a way no draw in this list is a fixture of anything. Spreading the prizes widely rather than concentrating them is the design, and it is the reason the odds of winning something are unusually good and the odds of it changing your life are not.
