Three games, one set of superstitions
Sports Toto runs all three of these, and they are built as a ladder: Star at 6/50, Power at 6/55, Supreme at 6/58. Each step up buys a bigger advertised jackpot and worse odds, and the pages that tell you to play the big one rarely put the two figures next to each other.

The only edge on this page
This is not a system and it will not shorten your odds by any amount. It is about crowding. Some numbers are held by far more tickets than others, and that decides what a jackpot is divided by rather than who wins it.
Star Toto 6/50
Star Toto 6/50 draws from 50 numbers. The calendar reaches 31 of them, about 62 per cent of the board, and leaves 19 that no birthday can produce. Birthdays, anniversaries and door numbers all run out at 31, and hand-filled slips cluster there accordingly. Lines built entirely from calendar numbers make up 4.6 per cent of the possible lines, and a far larger share of the tickets people fill in by hand. Nothing up there is more likely to be drawn. Rather less of the country is waiting on it.
Power Toto 6/55
Only 56 per cent of the Power Toto 6/55 pool falls inside calendar range: 31 numbers a date could give you, 24 it cannot. Dates cannot reach past 31, so every line built from one crowds into the same stretch of the board. Lines built entirely from calendar numbers make up 2.5 per cent of the possible lines, and a far larger share of the tickets people fill in by hand. A line reaching above 31 wins no more often. It is held by fewer people when it does.
Supreme Toto 6/58
Only 53 per cent of the Supreme Toto 6/58 pool falls inside calendar range: 31 numbers a date could give you, 27 it cannot. Dates cannot reach past 31, so every line built from one crowds into the same stretch of the board. Lines built entirely from calendar numbers make up 1.8 per cent of the possible lines, and a far larger share of the tickets people fill in by hand. A line reaching above 31 wins no more often. It is held by fewer people when it does.
