La Primitiva
Lucky La Primitiva numbers
Four lines of six numbers from 49, weighted by the digit roots your chart favours. The reintegro is printed on your ticket rather than chosen, so it is not generated here.
Numbers built from your chart, not a shuffle
Any site can pick random numbers. Weighting the pool by your own Day Master, Life Path and Lo Shu grid needs your birth moment.
What La Primitiva is
| Game | Numbers drawn | Jackpot odds |
|---|---|---|
| La Primitiva | 6 of 1–49 | 1 in 13,983,816 |
Six from 49, drawn Monday, Thursday and Saturday. Your ticket also carries a reintegro from 0 to 9, but it is printed rather than chosen, so it is not generated here. Matching six wins the first category; the headline Especial jackpot needs the reintegro as well, at 1 in 139,838,160. There are 13,983,816 ways to choose 6 numbers from 49, and a line covers exactly one of them, which is the whole arithmetic behind the 1 in 13,983,816.
The whole prize table, counted out
Every figure comes out of the pool sizes in the table above, by counting rather than by record-keeping.
| Result | Odds of exactly this |
|---|---|
| Match 6 | 1 in 13,983,816 |
| Match 5 | 1 in 54,201 |
| Match 4 | 1 in 1,032 |
| Match 3 | 1 in 56.7 |
One line, that result and no better. What it pays, if anything, is set where the money is, not here.
Elsewhere in the world
Same birth data, a different pool to fit it to. There is also every lucky-number calculator.
Splitting, not winning
This is not a system and it will not shorten your odds by any amount. It is about crowding. Some numbers are held by far more tickets than others, and that decides what a jackpot is divided by rather than who wins it.
18 of the 49 numbers on a La Primitiva form are above 31, which puts them outside every birthday, anniversary and door number in play. Dates cannot reach past 31, so every line built from one crowds into the same stretch of the board. Lines built entirely from calendar numbers make up 5.3 per cent of the possible lines, and a far larger share of the tickets people fill in by hand. A line reaching above 31 wins no more often. It is held by fewer people when it does.
Figures computed from each game's own format. The calculator above weights your pool by your chart rather than by this, and neither approach makes a draw more predictable than it is.
Spain's weekly 6/49
La Primitiva is the older of Spain's number-pick games and traces back to the eighteenth century, which makes it one of the longest-running lotteries in Europe. It is a straight six from 49 with a Reintegro, a refund digit printed on the slip rather than chosen, which gives a large number of players their stake back and keeps them playing.
That refund mechanism is the part the odds tables usually skip. It does not raise the chance of a jackpot by any amount. It lowers the average cost of playing, which is a different thing and a more modest one.
Spain's operator also runs Bonoloto in exactly the same six-from-49 shape. Two games, one format, one operator, and the only differences are the price and how often it is drawn. Choosing between them is a question about your habits rather than your odds.
