What Lotto 6/45 is

GameNumbers drawnJackpot odds
Lotto 6/456 of 1–451 in 8,145,060

Six from 45, drawn on Saturdays. The same shape as Australia's Saturday Lotto and the Philippine Mega Lotto: identical odds in three countries. There are 8,145,060 ways to choose 6 numbers from 45, and a line covers exactly one of them, which is the whole arithmetic behind the 1 in 8,145,060.

All the ways this can pay

The same counting that gives the jackpot figure gives every tier below it: ways to match exactly that many numbers, divided into the total number of possible draws.

ResultOdds of exactly this
Match 61 in 8,145,060
Match 51 in 34,808
Match 41 in 733
Match 31 in 44.6

Odds are for exactly that result on one line. Which tiers pay, and how much, is the operator's table, and it is the one document here to read before you play.

Picking above 31

Nothing below improves your chance of winning. Every line is as likely as every other line and no arrangement of numbers changes that. What it can change is how many other tickets carry the same line, which decides whether a top prize arrives whole or in pieces.

Only 69 per cent of the Lotto 6/45 pool falls inside calendar range: 31 numbers a date could give you, 14 it cannot. Birthdays, anniversaries and door numbers all run out at 31, and hand-filled slips cluster there accordingly. Lines built entirely from calendar numbers make up 9.0 per cent of the possible lines, and a far larger share of the tickets people fill in by hand. Going above 31 buys you no extra chance at all. It buys you fewer people to share with.

Computed, not collected. Nothing on this page knows anything about future draws, including the section you just read.

Six from 45, once a week

Korea runs a single national number game, Lotto 6/45, drawn weekly, with revenue directed to public welfare funds. One game and one draw a week makes this the simplest market on the site: there is no ladder of formats to choose between and no second pool to complicate the arithmetic.

Spending is capped per transaction, a deliberate limit on how much of a habit this can become. Few of the other operators in this list impose one.

Six from 45 is also one of the most copied formats in the world. The Philippines runs it as Mega Lotto and Australia as Saturday Lotto, and all three have exactly the same jackpot odds despite advertising very different prizes. The odds come from the format. The prize comes from how many people in that country play.
